gearing up

It seems likely lately I have been nothing but a bridesmaid when things get down to the nitty-gritty..I have taken sooooo many 2nd and 3rds in SnG's its amazing..So when I won my firs 200 SnG last night in like 20 tries I decided that was a good place to stop..I really think its a good idea to make a conscious decision to end your session w/ a win, or some sort of positive..some times this backfires as you are runnign bad and might lose some more $ whilst tryin to get that elusive win....
I'm trying to get back in the right mindset for WPT at the mirage in about 3 weeks, so a positive mental attitude is very important to me right now

Been on a horrible run the last 2 weeks...Yes I FT'd the UB 200 and some smaller stuff here and there.but its been rough!!!! Just finished 4th in the $40 UB..just a small one..but hopefully its a startin the right direction...doubled up early in the stars 150..this tournament has been my nemesis lately

This whole week has been such a grind...seems like every day I start out stuck and just struggling to get back to even..Will be playing the Stars Million, the Ub 500 and trying to go back to back Final Tables on the Ub 200...

Wow!!! I discovered a gold mine today...I used to play the hds up SnG's on UB..and once you got up to the 200-500 level..the quality of play increased dramatically (as it should)......Not on my new site for hds up!! wow...anyways..the stars 150 just started..I was the literal bubble boy last night..finishing 55 when they pay 54...i had qq vs 99 him hitting set on flop...obv anyway..play so far has me folding KK to raise on flop of a45..I just hate folding that but it has to be done...and now i'm back to even.

monday blues

Well at one point I was chip leader in the Ub 100, UB 30, and Stars 150...I'm now out of all but stars..and only just above avg stack there.....was getting cards like crazy!! At one point I was all in on two tables w/ AA on both and reraising w/ an open-ended str8flush on the other..

6th sucks

Ended up taking 6th in the Ult. bet $215...
7 handed i over played ak vs kk and got severely shortstacked....thinking back maybe i didnt overplay as bad as it looked, I had just raised 3 pots in a row and won w/ out contest then get AK utg raise it up 5x bb and player named "dapster" pushes all in .....obv i called and lost.. but I think his range extended after i had developed such crazy image throughout FT....anyway...

still chugging along in the Ult. bet $200...in 2nd place w/ 45 or so left...
Start w/ 2500 chips and I never got above 3000 til after the 2nd break..was very cold decked...won a couple coinflips. then picked up 55 in 3rd pos...raised 3x the bb all fold to cutoff who reraises the min...i'm out of position w/ a weak pp but its soooo cheap so i call flop a54..i ck he bets out half pot i reraise a little more than min. and he rereraises the min....i'm very upset about him having AA and my bad luck, but too deeep to let it go...he had AK..i'm up to 70k


Just lost huge pot w/ 2 6 battle of the blinds HAHAHA....he flopped nuts...usually person that has most balls whens the battle of the blinds but not when they have a hand....

2 hands later get jj mid pos raise it up..bb pushes all in for 25k i have 50k..i call he has 88 and i'm back up to 75k....back to battle

Right before the first break of the stars 200 I get AQ on the button and 2nd pos raises it up 3x bb (50-100) I just call flop A104 he bets out i smooth call.....turn is a Q he bets basically all his chips...i put him all in for 600 more thinking "there's no way he raised 2nd pos w/ KJ"....sure enough...gg me

Hello whoever is reading this..
This will be the first in a series of blogs about and relating to my online/live poker adventure..
Background on me:
I recently quit my 9-5 corporate job in May '05 to play poker professionally...won a couple seats to some main events (wsop, wpt) and was fortunate enough to make the Final Table of the World Poker Tour in Aruba, where I took 4th place. I've had continued success online since then, winning 2 wsop seats already and bubbling two more ha ha..who would think bubbling is a success? dont know why i put that..anyway..today is sunday which is historically a busy yet disappointing day for me...I have not had much success on the Sunday "major" online tournaments recently...(although I did go deep last sunday in the stars million)
On tap for today: Ult. bet $500 at 1pm (all times mtn) PkrStars $200 at 2:30 and the Ult. bet $200 at 7pm...along w/ cheering on the soooox (red) and watchign hefty choke in the masters...
